Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Charlotte is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

On first glance it’s a cute shop and the photo reviews look amazing, but unfortunately i was immediately underwhelmed the whole shop is more of a self serve place or at least it appeared to be. The shop itself has a weird layout and not a bright as expected. The staff were a little unwelcoming and very inattentive from the staring to not checking on us at all. The food was extremely underwhelming and not even close to be worth the price. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone and wouldn’t come back personally.

Not totally sure I get the hype. The BLT was extremely underwhelming (do NOT recommend) and while the cuban and harissa potatoes were much better, both included unwelcome hairs - two different colors and lengths, neither were mine or my partners. There was a bunch of poison ivy 6 inches from our outside table and were swarmed with bugs of all sorts the whole time. Outdoor instructions were confusing as the sign prompted guests to scan QR, seat self + first come first serve, and order inside, but in reality, people were deciding what to order outside, then going inside to put a name down for a table, waiting an hour, then ordering before sitting and waiting another hour for food. Maybe is better during the week when isn't so busy? Parking is a bit tricky but you can get lucky on the street or walk a bit.

Underwhelming food and service, the cute location is carrying a heavy load here. I got the chicken & waffles and also a BEC on a biscuit + lettuce, tomato, avocado. Did not really enjoy the chicken & waffles all that much, was trying to figure out what was bothering me about the waffle and it's that, it is essentially a pancake, it even looks very my much like a pancake in the picture I posted, go see. It's like they took a pancake and put waffle griddle marks on it, and that's not what people are generally looking for when they order a waffle. Wouldn't surprise me if they literally just put the pancake mix in the waffle iron and then call it a day, no oil, no egg, nothing. Chicken was also just kind of okay, I really didn't prefer the texture of it and the taste was very average. Only thing that was really enjoyable on this dish was the housemade hot sauce, loved that. As for the BEC, much harder to mess up, only so many parts you even really have to cook, main part being the biscuit, which was, much like everything else, rather blah, nothing special, probably on the least favorite side on the ranking scale for biscuits, other than that I mean the egg was cooked well but overrall

We placed a to-go order online and everything was delicious, plus the portion sizes are huge! The staff were friendly and helpful when we picked up the order. I added a cold brew when I got there (drinks aren’t available on the online ordering portal) and they cashed me out separately so I didn’t have to wait in line for just the drink. Everything was packaged really well, overall a 5/5 experience!

Best breakfast BY FAR that I’ve ever had in Charlotte. The quality of the food is phenomenal. I’m baffled of how this place has any negative reviews. My experience was wonderful. Parking is a little tricky but it’s totally worth it once you walk in this place. My steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, the sauces on everything in my dish went SO WELL together. I could cut my steak with a butter knife. Best damn pancake too, the crisp around the edges is fantastic and they are still so fluffy when you cut into them. I will most certainly be back! DO NOT skip this place. It’s absolutely worth it! I cannot wait to try lunch here!
